Charlotte, good to hear your experience, thank you. So fortunate that we found each other at SMC. I so enjoyed our lunch and conversation, which was juicy with ideas, as is this comment of yours. Your suggestion to let go of stuff that binds us historically is so key! When that happens, all of the rest is easier, I find. As for Crestone, from which I tap out this reply, yes, come! Walk on the creeks, get a map of the spiritual centers, and let your heart and intuition guide you. My mainstays are the stupas and Joyful Journey and the Land Orient for hot springs soaks. All the while keeping my eye on the time of day. The sun rises and sets with great display here, and I plan my days around taking in the changing light. If I can be of more help, let's email. Much love and happy wishes to you and yours dear person!

Thank you, Mia. It has been such a joy this year to stay in touch with you, after that very brief meeting at the Shambala Mountain Center in August. To respond to your holiday query, I would say that focusing on gratitude for the bounty around me and pausing to acknowledge beauty are increasingly sustaining me. Lowering expectations is always good, contributing to gratitude for whatever comes my way and helping me visualize goals that may be more realistic. This means, of course, letting go of stuff that I have been historically bound by--traditions, family, culture, etc.--which is liberating!
I plan to return to Colorado in March and want to go to Crestone. Any recommendations about what to do there? Years ago, I spent time in Taos, a magical place.
All best wishes for a joyful 2018.
